The One Thing People Do That Kills The Spine

We get one spine. Read that again. ONE. Once it is worn out, its worn out! No do-overs!  Easily the most frustrating thing I see as a chiropractor is people failing to take care of their backs. It’s too easy to assume that it will always be just fine other than a little tightness and soreness but the truth is oh so different.


The #1 thing people do to destroy their spines is… nothing.  They don’t take care of it through regular adjustments.  Spinal joints naturally become misaligned over time. Gravity and daily activity shifts vertebrae and when they sit out of place for weeks, months or even years the discs between vertebrae wear down shifting more and more weight onto the spinal joints.  Over time we call this degenerative disc disease and arthritis.


Chiropractic adjustments find jammed up joints and correct them. Getting regular adjustments (1 per month minimum) greatly slows down the degenerative process and keeps the human spine healthy for our lifetimes!  This is essential for avoiding neck and back pain, headaches, sciatica and more as we age.
