When Do Back Problems Begin?

We are often told when we hit our 40’s that some stiffness and pain is normal and an expected if unwanted  part of aging. And to some degree this may be true but have you ever considered where back and neck problems started?

Our spines are dynamic have the ability to heal.  Many problems we experience as adults started many years before when we were still small children. Let me ask you this: How many toddlers do you know that HAVEN’T taken at least a few big falls? The answer is none.

When we are young our spines and bodies are much more flexible.  This accounts for some of the resiliency we have as young people that we seemingly lose as we get older. But in reality much of perceived aging is also just uncorrected problems in the spine that were never addressed and allowed to continue worsening until finally they hit a point where we had “symptoms”.

This is the primary reason starting chiropractic care as a child is so beneficial. By addressing spinal problems when they are just beginning we can prevent much of the wear and tear that would have resulted similar to how we go to the dentist to keep our teeth healthy as long as possible.

Call us today to set up an appointment to have your kids spines checked.  And if its been a while (or never) you can get your spine checked too! We are here to help.
