Getting healthy. It’s a phrase you hear all the time. But what does it really mean and more importantly where do you start?
For me the journey to really getting healthy began with my spine and chiropractic care. At the time this surprised me as much as anyone. After all isn’t diet and exercise almost universally touted as where to begin to get better health?
The reason it starts with the spine is simple and obvious in hindsight. The nerves that go to the organs and muscles exit the spinal cord through the spine. If the spinal joints are misaligned and pressing on these nerves then the organs and muscles don’t work at 100% and your efforts are not rewarded as much as they could be had chiropractic treatments been a part of the plan.
It’s similar to how your car can’t perform at its peak without regular maintenance. This interestingly, is also why almost all top athletes receive chiropractic care. They know their bodies work better when they receive chiropractic treatments.
This is why the first step to getting healthy is chiropractic care. Get your spine and nervous system healthy and the rest will flow.
